I inform you with this letter that a VAT return must be submitted in 2023, and I provide the date, deadline, and payment code related to this.
You do not need to keep this letter because we always remind you of the deadlines, and if someone has to pay VAT, I always include the code in the email or send it via Messenger.
I would also like to inform you that we do not submit the annual returns on the tax office's website, but we work with the Elsevier Nextens program. This means that after I have submitted the returns digitally, it takes at least 2 weeks for it to appear on the Mijn Belastingdienst site.
With the Elsevier Nextens program, it is possible to request an extra submission deadline. Our program will automatically request this for everyone, regardless of whether we have already submitted their return or not. This is not an error and does not cause confusion in the system. You will also receive notification by mail, but this will not be a significant factor if we have already submitted the return.
